A song for christmas

Posted by Moto Boy in From the archive, Music

By this time last year I release the For Martha EP. It’s a collection of beautiful songs written by masters from past and present. There’s also a song that I’ve written called “A room without you”. I am still very happy with the way it turned out.

The intro is me humming tones in a grand piano. I sampled the echoes it produced and put them on midi piano and played it. It gave this very unique sound. I really like this kind of creative engineering, where you have an idea but never now exactly what the result will be like. Sometimes useless crap and sometimes, like in this case, pure magic.

Have a listen to the song and send it around to your friends. I think it’s perfect for christmas!

Also this is the song we made a music box out of. Pretty good christmas gift. Go get it from the Songs I Wish web shop.

Or just watch me play it:

Moto Boy, Eskilstuna, Världsmiljödagen

In June 2008 on Världsmiljödagen ( World Enviroment Day) Moto Boy had a concert in Eskilstuna in Sweden. This concert was really cozy so to say. Everybody in the audience was sitting down on the lawn and just enjoying the concert and the feeling of it all was really nice. I remember it being one of the first warm summer nights that summer and spending it there was just perfect.

Here’s a video with the best of what was preformed by Moto Boy and his lovely ladies he had with him on stage that evening.

(Since the concert was in Sweden the little talks between the songs are in Swedish)

The songs that are included,
Pie Jesu
If Only Your Bed Could Cry
Love Is The One Thing You Can’t Pretend
Ride My Wild Heart
I Miss You Baby

In august 2008 Moto Boy performed at a Swedish TV-show called Sommarkrysset. Together with a whole band and dancers he performed the song Blue Motorbike. So it’s a one of a kind performance of this song.

It was a fun day for all of us fans who were there to support Oskar. A day full of rehearsals, rain, sunshine and laughter.
